Mixed Signals

June 23, 2008Annie

I love hay bails.  I started to fall in love with Colby on top of a hay bail in Memphis, TN during the summer of 2000.  Of course, as we were on the hay bail, Colby was asking me (for the 5th time) if I saw any hope in the future for a relationship between us and I was explaining to him that I was not interested in ever dating him nor marrying him or anyone else for the matter. Exclusive relationships were like a prison to me, and instead, I was heading to the jungles of Ecuador to be a single Read More

Ten Year High School Reunion

June 23, 2008Annie

I am really thankful that the reunion happened to be the weekend that I was here in town, and even more grateful that Melissa could fly in and stay with me for the  festivities.  I am so lucky to have such a great best Read More

He does fun things with me....mommy, can YOU do fun things with me?" Feel free to visit us in Iceland..the girls will be waiting! Read More

Last Saturday

June 5, 2008Annie

Last Saturday we went with Pillar to the National Zoo. To add to the excitement, we picked up a "gorilla" who was holding a sign "Take me to the zoo." Ruthe Clifton hid under the bus, Darcy wrapped her legs tightly around me, and Haley Jane said, "Hey, my daddy has that mask!" When the gorilla got on the bus, however, Haley Jane was not so sure.It was a good day seeing many animals and enjoying fine company. Right at 2:00 (the time we were told to meet at the entrance to leave), the heavens Read More
