Darcy: Age 2
Sunday was a rough day as both my husband and I started to feel severe flu-like symptoms. We didn’t feel like finishing our lunch and went to bed where we set up “Enchanted” for our kids to watch. Twenty minutes later, my two year old, Darcy, was throwing up her lunch all over me, the portable DVD player, and the bed. I cleaned up the entire mess myself, even though I dry-heaved a few times.
Before I could think of an intelligent response, Darcy threw up all over the floor…the floor that I had just finished sanitizing. I got on my hands and knees to clean up regurgitated bananas, stunned that I had just had a theological conversation with my two-year-old.
Now if she could just learn her colors…

Theology and the stomach bug. Hmm, not something you would think would go to together.
She sounds like a very smart little girl!
Thanks for linking up!

Lol! Okay that is pretty funny and yes it would be scary to think of God there 🙂

Oh my goodness, I’m so excited to find your site. I came through the Thursday blog hop, and I am thrilled to see another mom who is working on reconciling their theology with their everyday life. Lol, it’s not always easy to talk and walk the same thing.:) Thank you so much! I’ll be following.:)

Thanks for following me! I hope you enjoy the journey…

Impressive. A 2yo who can hold your theological feet to the flame. Good job. I hope God hasn’t seen what I am excusing as underwear these days.
Hope everyone gets to feeling better soon.

So true and well said, Maggie! (About theological feet, not your underwear). 🙂
