Okay, so my Dad doesn’t know what to think of the new blog format. He says it’s too hard to read. Now, I know that my Dad is not a huge fan of change and has owned the same gym bag for 43 years, but there are probably others who are of the same personality type.
So, for those of you who need this tutorial, Let’s spend today getting to know the new blog:
1. The HOME PAGE
If you’re looking to see if I’ve written anything new, don’t get annoyed! You can just scroll down the main page to the bottom where it says RECENT POSTS. You can see if I wrote any new posts in ANY of the categories (Blog or Gracie’s Story or Darndest Things).
2. THE BEST OF…
These are collections of posts that I’ve written about different topics. Just click on a word or phrase like “Funny Stories” or “culture shock” and it will take you to all the posts I’ve tagged with that label. Since I’ve been blogging for over three years, I have quite a collection. Hours of fun await you at this feature.
3. SUBSCRIBE
See the small orange button on the ride side of the blog that says “subscribe”? If you don’t know what that is, and you really want to, you should probably click here. It really is only for people who read a bunch of blogs and want them automatically sent to them, so don’t worry about it, Mom and Dad! Those of you with RSS feeds, don’t forget to subscribe!
4. Spread the Word
Do you know anyone who has been affected by congenital heart defects in any way? Starting on Monday, I’ll begin posting Gracie’s Story. Consider sending someone you know a link to this site, posting this site to your facebook status, or if you have a blog or website, linking me. I don’t consider myself a “computer person” in the least, so if anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please send them my way!

Does this work?

Love the idea of this new format and website… but I was a bit confused too, as I am not a computer person myself… at all! Thanks for the tutorial, I missed a bunch of the new stuff that was written. I’m all caught up now, and waiting eagerly for more about Gracie’s Story…
p.s. I posted a link to my facebook wall before I read it was okay, so I’m glad you don’t mind, lol.
